Section 1: Rules

There are a few different type of rules that must be followed in order to ensure an orderly community and enjoyable game experience:

1. General/common sense rules (Applies to everyone):

  1. Respect: Be respectful of everyone. Just follow the 'golden rule': Treat others how you wish to be treated. This rule includes (but is not limited to) racism, sexism, and any other type of discrimination. We want all of the community to feel welcomed on our servers. Slight trash task and joking around is fine. If you can't handle a light flame, turn off chat.
  2. Cheating: Don't cheat. This includes all games and servers, not just the ones we host. If you think it may give you any sort of unfair advantage, it's probably cheating. Members will be removed from the community if they are found cheating.
  3. Begging to be a part of the official members/staff: Don't beg. Nobody wants to hear you begging, and the more someone begs, the more you're less likely to become a part of the official members/staff. If you're seriously interested, you can apply here: https://pxg.me/forum/13-applications/
  4. Don't be an asshat: Consider this another 'golden rule'. Just don't be annoying! Nobody in the clan wishes to hear you blow into your microphone, or have to deal with your server. We're providing a free server for you to play on, and it is simply stupid for you to want to destroy it. So please, just don't be an asshat. (:

2. Deathrun specific rules (Applies to everyone):

Please note that these rules can be found in game by typing !rules!

  1. No hacking. This includes rank hacking.
  2. No spamming or overuse of annoying binds. Don't spam your bind more than three (3) times. Anything past that, and it's considered spam.
  3. Do not stall time as a jumper. Try to finish the map. Nobody in the game wants to watch you fail the same bounce 50 times in a row, or run around in circles in the spawn. If you think you're holding up the game, please b42.
  4. No scroll/macro shooting to kill. It's an unfair advantage and if our administrators and moderators believe that you're scrolling, they're going to warn you accordingly. Even if you say that "I'm just fast at clicking!!!", you're still probably going to get warned. Nobody needs to empty 7 shots in .2 seconds.
  5. No suiciding/disconnecting as the activator. You're the activator. Just do your duty and activate if you think it's a waste of time. This includes the end rooms. Don't suicide in the end rooms. You won't be warned if it's an obvious accident.
  6. No wallbanging. You're ruining the round/game for everyone else in the lobby. Don't take advantage of a glitch in the map.
  7. No glitching. Anything used to complete the map or kill the activator that was not intended by the map maker is considered glitching.
  8. No RTDing right before entering or while in an end room.
  9. No abusive language or behavior towards anyone. See section 1.1.1 (General/common sense rules - respect)
  10. No advertising/recruiting. If you come into our server and try to flaunt your clan/server around, you're going to be warned!

2. Deathrun VIP Rules (Applies to Deathrun VIPs):

  1. You are only allowed to give yourself a gun in 'old'! This is for both activators and runners.
  2. You're not immune from any of the rules posted here.

3. Promod specific rules (Applies to everyone):

  1. No elevating: It’s extremely unfair for others and provides an overall worse experience. Don’t do it and simply play the map as originally intended
  2. No advertising or spamming of websites or servers: Nobody wants to deal with advertisements or spam, let alone while enjoying a game. If you’re with friends and decide to play on a different server, then message then privately (Steam or teamspeak) instead of stating it publicly.
  3. No arguing with admins (it will get you nowhere): They are admins for a reason and know how to do their jobs. Arguing will just result in frustration for the both of you along with a warn. If you feel as if the admin is in the wrong, you’re more than welcomed to report it through https://pxg.me/forum/87-report-center/ or PM one of us with reasonable explaination and proof.
  4. No cheating/hacking/scripting/scrolling: This should be self explanatory. Don’t hack or use scripts/binds/macros to ruin everyone else’s experience. You will be permanently banned if it’s the former of the two. If you feel as if an administrator made a mistake, you may appeal the ban at https://pxg.me/forum/60-ban-appeals/
  5. No recruiting for your clan, your server, or anything else: Players are on the server to play and socialize. They’re not here to be hassled to leave for another server or become a member/admin for your clan/community.
  6. No racism or abusive language: Be respectful and tolerant of others. Nothing justifies the use of racist language and childish behavior.

4. CodJumper rules (Applies to everyone):

  1. No verbally abusing others: See section 1.1.1 (General/common sense rules - respect)
  2. No spamming or annoying other players: See section 1.1.4 (General/common sense rules - respect)

5. Teamspeak rules (Applies to everyone):

  1. Don't be obnoxious.
  2. Don't advertise.
  3. Don't spam anything.
  4. Keep your avatars appropriate.
  5. Don't be sketchy.
  6. Don't be malicious.

Section 2: Warning (Applies to staff):

Please make sure that your warn is actually legitimate. Standard variation of the warn reason (i.e Stop spamming, verbal abuse, etc…) is acceptable, but make sure the reason pertains to the actual rule broken. Players may request proof that they were breaking a rule in a ban appeal. All deathrun chat is saved to a database. However, for rules such as macro/suicide as activator/wallbanging; admins are required to screenshot for proof. They can also record a video for even better proof. We recommend you enable shadowplay if you have an NVIDIA video card.

Section 3: Banning (Applies to staff):

Any BAN must be recorded and or screenshoted. You're expected to hold on to the screenshot or video in case the person appeals the ban. I recommend zipping the proof with a text file and uploading it to Google Drive (or other cloud service).

Section 4: Official and veteran members [0] (Applies to non members):

You are now an official member of the community. You officially represent Precision Gaming and should act in a respectful manner that’s indicative of our community as a whole. You are to follow the rules as one normally would. After a year of proving yourself to be dedicated to the community, you will become a veteran member. Both of these groups may be revoked at any time due to violation of the rules or certain situations. Being an official member or veteran member doesn’t grant you immunity from the rules. No extra permissions are given to official members.

What is expected of you

  1. Maturity
  2. Kindness
  3. Civility
  4. Activeness on the website, teamspeak, and in game

Section 5: Trial Administrators [20]

You are on trial. You are to act professionally and try your best to earn keep as a part of precision gaming. Breaking any rules during your trial period (which is 4 weeks/month) will result in an immediate suspension (or denial depending on the severity) of your trial administrator period.

What is expected of you:

  1. Maturity
  2. Friendliness
  3. Professionalism
  4. Activeness on the website, teamspeak, and in game
  5. Seriousness
  6. Trouble shooting ability
  7. Understanding of the chain of command

Your commands, what they do, and how to use them:

  • !aliases - Lists the aliases that a player has used - !aliases name/b3ID/listID
  • !find - Test to find a connect player - !find name/b3ID
  • !kick - Kicks a player from the server - !kick name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !leveltest - Shows a user's status - !leveltest name/b3ID/listID
  • !list - Lists all connected players - !list
  • !lookup - Lookups a player in the database - !lookup name/b3ID
  • !say - Displays a message to all players - !say message
  • !spam - Spams a pre-made message - !spam message
  • !spams - Lists spam messages - !spams
  • !status - Shows status of b3 - !status
  • !warn - Warns a player - !warn name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !warninfo - Shows how many warnings a player has - !warninfo name/b3ID/listID
  • !warns - Lists previous warnings - !warns
  • !warntest - Tests a warning on a player - !warntest name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !greeting - Sets your greeting that appears whenever you join - !greeting message
  • !ci - Kicks a player when their connection has been interrupted - !ci name/b3ID/listID

If you have any questions about your responsibilities, please ask an administrator to explain them to you. Don't be too embarrassed to ask a question! I would rather you understand something rather than to be too confused to do anything productive for the server.

You can find your new commands by using the command !help in game. It will list the available commands for your rank. If you have more questions regarding a specific command, you can also use !h command or ask a higher administrator to explain it to you.

Section 6: Administrators [40]

You are no longer on trial! Yay. That also means you have a few more responsibilities and powers.

What is expected of you:

  1. Responsibilities from section 5.1.1
  2. Keeping trial administrators in their position. Reporting things they do wrong to a full administrator [60]
  3. Helping out new trial administrators
  4. A better understanding of the commands, b3, and ability to administrate the server
  5. This is where most pxg members will end up. It takes a lot more dedication, time, and seriousness to be promoted from an administrator [40]. There are a lot of factors that go into being promoted, which can be seen in section 11.

Your new commands, what they do, and how to use them:

  • !admins - Displays all admins online - !admins
  • !admintest - Shows your current user status - !admintest
  • !baninfo - Displays how many bans a player has - !baninfo name/b3ID/listID
  • !lastbans - Lists the last five banned players - !lastbans
  • !notice - Adds a note to a player for positive or negative behavior - !notice name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !spank - Kicks a player from the server - !spank name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !tempban - Temporarily bans a player from the server - !tempban name/b3ID/listID duration reason
  • !unban - Removes a ban from a player - !unban b3ID
  • !kill - Kills a player - !kill name/slot
  • !spec - Switches player to spectator - !spec name/listID
  • !deletenotice - Makes a notice number inactive in the database for a player - !deletenotice name/b3ID/listID number
  • !listbans - Lists all active bans and lists all bans by an admin - !listbans or !listbans name/b3ID/listID ban/tempban
  • !listids - Lists all of a player's IDs or that name's IDs - !listid name/b3ID/listID
  • !lookupnotices - Displays notices active for a player - !lookupnotices name/b3ID/listID
  • !pastbans - Shows all past bans for a player - !pastbans name/b3ID/listID
  • !superbaninfo - Gives information about a player's active bans - !superbaninfo name/b3ID
  • !superlookup - Searches the database for players that used or currently are using a specific alias - !superlookup name
  • !timeplayed - Shows a player's total playing time - !timeplayed name/b3ID/listID

If you have any questions regarding your new powers, please ask a peer or a higher administrator.

Section 7: Full Administrators [60]

You've been promoted to a full administrator? Good job on showing that you're fully grasping what it means to be an administrator and team player here at precision gaming. You have a lot of new commands as well as a lot of responsibilities:

What is expected of you:

  1. Responsibilities from section 6.1.1
  2. Reporting issues to higher administrators
  3. Handling more advanced tasks
  4. Keeping players and administrators informed on certain policy changes
  5. Handling internal conflicts (See internal conflicts section 10)
  6. Promoting and demoting players
  7. Banning players

Your new commands, what they do, and how to use them:

  • !clear - Removes all tk points and warnings from a player - !clear name/b3ID/listID
  • !map - Switches current map - !map map
  • !maprotate - Changes to the next map in the rotation - !maprotate
  • !permban - Permanently bans a player - !permban name/b3ID/listID reason
  • !scream - Yells a message to all players - !scream message
  • !warnclear - Clears all warnings a player has - !warnclear name/b3ID/listID
  • !endround - Ends the current round - !endround
  • !heal - Restores a player's health to full - !heal name/listID
  • !saveallscores - Saves all scores in log - !saveallscores
  • !savemapscores - Saves scores for current map in log - !savemapscores
  • !wtf - Explodes the player - !wtf name/listID

The next step for you would be a community or server manager. Not many people at all will ever make it past level [60]. If you prove your worth and follow your guidelines, you might be put into the queue for [80], though. Anything can happen.

Section 8: Community managers and server managers [80]

What is expected of you:

  1. Responsibilities from section 7.1.1
  2. Reporting issues to higher administrators
  3. Handling applications and donations
  4. Keeping track of who has power and how active they are

Community and server managers have climbed the rank and proven that they have a strong knack for being in a position of power. They know what to do when the right situation calls, and act upon their instincts. They have the most responsibilities out of all of the administrators and are to be respected as such.

Section 9: Owners [100]

Nick and MiKeY have the ultimate say in all matters and are the only owners. If you're unsure of something, please don't ask us directly. Ask an admin who is one level above you (i.e Trial admins [20] ask administrators [40], administrators [40] ask full administrators [60], and so on).

Section 10: Internal Conflicts

All internal conflict will be dealt with in PRIVATE. Any two members who are fighting in the server will both be demoted. If you really need to scream at someone, do it in teamspeak. The best solution is to simply ignore the member who you don't get along with. Ideally, you will get along with everyone. But we can't always have to ideal case. Keep it private or don't say anything at all. Act professional.

Section 11: Promotion Policy

Promotions are something that seem to get everyone salty here. I get PMs frequently about things like "Why did HE get promoted?! I'm such a better candidate!" or "You promoted him because he's your friend!" type things. Let me just say that those PMs are some of the most infuriating things. There are several things that can lead you from being overlooked for promotion: These are, but not limited to:

  • Breaking rules
  • Being an asshat
  • Asking for promotions
  • Making a bad first impression
  • Being immature
  • Inability to read
  • Being irresponsible
  • Lack of activity

In order to be promoted, just follow the rules as best you can. If you feel that you're actually being overlooked to the point where it's being frustrated, feel free to send me a PM directly. I will tell you why you're not being promoted or if it's just a misunderstanding. Nick, MiKeY, and I try our best with promotions and give them out when the time is right. Unfortunately, due to work among other things, we're not the most active owners and we understand that. This is why we know that we miss some admins a lot, and if you think we're missing your abilities, send us a PM and we'll look into promotions.
